Kerry A.
Kerry is the first person to donate to sculptr. Her donation fully covered the fees required to register sculptr as a non-profit.s Sculptr would not exist in it's current form without her support. <3
The founder of sculptr, who felt a desperate need for socialization, community, and mutual support among queer scientists. She was working to address that need before harassement and discrimination forced her out of her job. She used her time between positions to create a more organized and intentional structure for the growing community she started. This website, and the additional materials it supports, are a part of that effort.
Sculptr socially supports approximately 50 people at events in Boulder and nearby areas each month. Sculptr houses and materially supports trans people in the Boulder area who would otherwise be unhoused. All donations are invested into the community, based on the needs that are most pressing. We are currently able to accept venmo, paypal, and patreon.
If you want to avoid transaction fees or keep your donation confidential, you can donate to Alea directly.
Sculptr hosts many types of events, and movie nights are a core part of how our community socializes. Movie nights start with people arriving and taking provided COVID tests, to ensure that risks are minimized. After everyone arrives, a themed dinner is shared, usually the theme is based on something from the film. Once it's dark outside, the movie begins with people filling up the couch and beanbag. In the summer we watch blockbusters and action films, in the winter though, 3D movies.
Sculptr provides housing to trans people who would otherwise be unhoused. Sculptr has two rooms available:
Room A - suitable for
up to three family members.
Room B - suitable for a single person.
While in the rescue program, sculptr will attempt to
provide the fundimental resources needed to live with dignity. Those resources consist of a stipend, housing, help with connecting to
Colorado state support programs, and help with updating identity documents. If you or someone you know needs this program, send an email to admin@sculptr.co.
We thank these donors for their uniquely impactful conributions.
